Em conversa com a B., esta disse me que queria mudar. Estava sempre com receio de arriscar na sua vida, de sair da sua zona de conforto. Queria conseguir o que não conseguia. Expliquei lhe que dependia dela e de treino mental. Recusou essa ideia. Curiosamente sentia que "a mudança" deveria ocorrer no seu meio ambiente, à sua volta, e não nela própria. Quando colocamos a responsabilidade do que não fazemos nos outros não vamos mudar. Todas as mudanças dependem e começam em nós unicamente. Ser mais ou menos feliz, depende de nós. Depende da forma como lidamos com o nosso meio ambiente, seja ele qual for. O primeiro grande desafio é percebermos que a nossa mente, se não for trabalhada poderá inclusive prejudicar o processo de mudança. É um processo. Que demora, requer alguma disciplina, tem altos e baixos mas tem depois os seus resultados. Começar por aquilo que dizemos todos os dias a nós mesmos, ganhar consciência que o fazemos e dizemos. Alterar as conversas internas e de depreciação que temos connosco e principalmente, principalmente, querer participar ativamente na mudança (e não só querer queixar me de que não consigo mudar!). Quando a consciência chega até nós o passo seguinte é a acção e isso sim torna todo o processo muito mais Easy. What you ask people, what you decided to do based on their answer to your question, it's all up to you. You get to live with the consequences. Know that no one is more of an expert on you, than you, no matter what you or others may think.

Getting back in touch with your inner child & inviting more play into your life 🌈✨ —————————————————— We get caught up in taking life so serious and forgetting to have fun along the way. Loosing all connection to that inner child within you that just wants to come out and play. Craving those days of playing until the street lights came on. wearing what you wanted or dressing as a princess for the day, even if your mum would say no you would rock it anyway. Colouring, painting and just letting your creativity flow, there was no wrong or write way.No care in what others thought no fear of judgment just being you because that’s all you knew. Hours would pass by feeling like minutes because our imagination was limitless. ———————————————————- I remember all I use to do was dance ! I started when I was two, I might not of been the best but I loved every moment of it. Busting out to the beat of the music, having so much fun and just letting my body move. You couldn’t stop me, I would tap down the shopping Isles & make up routines in my bedroom, it was my creative outlet. It’s been eight years since I last stepped in a dance studio until last week when I went back for an adult class and I can’t tell you how good it felt ! Revelations about self-love 🤗 For a self-love homie I’ve recognised I don’t do anything simply “because I love myself” ❤️😅 It’s endemic in our society, especially amongst the us big-goal-high-expectations perfectionists 🙊 This week I ignored my signs of depletion... 1. Feeling a bit all over da place 2. Advice from others 3. Being warned to lower my stress 4. Demands / expectations of others 5. “All I feel like doing is getting REALLY f***ed right now...” 🤪🙈 Finallllly went for a massage 💆‍♀️ and had a lil melt down! See, I’ve been viewing my own self-care as a reward I have to EARN, (with my high expectations - basically never!) and time off as something I take when I break 😅 I’ve been self-caring with the intention to “be more focused for my day / to relax and re-energise for my work” 💕 It’s a very “yang” (= traditionally masculine) energy towards what is ultimately a “yin” (= feminine) practice of slowing down - always pushing, always striving - “OKKK I’m relaxing now” 😬 rather than giving ourselves PERMISSION to fully feeling into just chilling the F out, to be looked after or at a basic level look after ourselves. How many of us approach self-love and self-care in the same way? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ And do it for the sake of self-love & self care with NO OTHER REASON REQUIRED? 🤔 Only when your own cup is full will you overflow with love for others and greet everyone and everything with appreciation rather than expectation 😊 So I’m putting my addictive personality to good use 🤙 by making self-love my new addiction 😎 (I’ve given up everything else anyway 😹) I’m committing to a mindset of doing all things with the original thought of “because I love myself” so my love can transfer into all that I am and do and doing some things for that original reason alone 😌💕 I invite you to do the same 🙌❤️😘 Happy Sunday, Love Megan, self/harm turned self/love addict 😜 x

But it took me sometime to find the right one for me. And today if I don’t get my exercise in the morning I feel like I missed something for the rest of the day. People always search for a quick fix , like what is the best exercise to burn fat faster of to build muscle faster and bigger. They start something and push themselves and then eventually burn out. The best exercise is the one you want to do!! I found mine and love doing it and most mornings look forward to it. Of course there are days where it takes a little effort or some days just rest and stretch instead. But it’s definitely a part of my daily routine!! I can highly recommend you to add some fresh pineapple juice, mint, coconut flakes or lemon to your lassis, it tastes way better then. It sounds simple, but not a lot of us actually do this... ✨ When I find that I’m in one of those moods where I can’t be bothered or I feel ‘flat’ 😕 I actually write down a list of all the things I love ❤️ then I make myself go & actually do some of those things 🙌🏼 it’s amazing how quickly this can change your mindset 🙏🏼 we have control over so much more than we think.
Today I lead a workshop on passion and purpose and one theme rose to the top—that work does not define us. Of course, we want to be passionate about it, have it tied to our values and the impact we want to have on the world. But we are whole regardless of what we do—when you strip back the titles and the doing—we are enough just by being. We live in a society, especially in NYC, where all-nighters and a one dimensional life focused on our career is celebrated. But what happens when you lose that job? Does your self worth go out the window too? For many of us it does. But purpose isn’t just about our work, it’s about who we show up as every single day. Do you believe in life after work?!

Like many people, I love spending my Sundays revolving around food, family and friends. Around five years ago, sitting down for a meal like this would’ve caused such guilt and anxiety after I had eaten it. I was forever telling myself I need to lose weight. I was in constant conflict with my body. Unable to exercise effectively due to chronic pain and injuries, I turned on my love for food (= disaster). We all know that nourishing our bodies by eating these amazing foods with people we love and getting out, doing things that are good for your soul are more effective than restrictive dieting and HIIT. Despite that common knowledge, we continue to punish and deprive our bodies. You WILL NOT lose weight long term if you are in this frame of mind. Weekends away, wineries, wine, cheeseboards, movies, baths, staying in your pyjamas until midday, preparing a slow cooked meal, having a movie marathon, a dinner party, reading and book with a frothy hot chocolate, choc chip cookie and an expensive Glasshouse candle burning are a few ways I like to create that inner peace. Have a think about the aspects of your life or times during the week you aren’t serving yourself and what are some changes you can make. 🙋🏼‍♀️ (Hint: it’s not starting a new diet or ‘trying to be good’ on Monday). I’m working hard to try to create something for women to help them through this. Having experienced it first hand (and relapsing countless times) I hope I can make this happen. 🙌🏼
Don’t panic. It’s organic! 👍✅ . . We are living at a time where people are getting heavier and sicker. Today’s system is like ‘eat whatever you want and take this pill or that pill and all will disappear’. Did you know that USA spends more money on medicine than do all the people of Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina, Brazil combined. While medicine is necessary for many people to stay alive and live longer, paying attention to nutrition and health education is super important, and can be preventative medicine. Unfortunately, the government subsidizes food that are not healthy, e.g., sugar, wheat, dairy industry. Instead subsidizing fruits and vegetables would be great. . . So let’s think nutrition as medicine. I personally buy organic, pretty much everything, knowing that I am making an investment in my health for the time being and in the long term. . . Yes, the price of organic,non-GMO food may be (slightly) more but really it is worth it when you think about your health in the long term. If you are on a tight budget, check out the clean list and dirty dozen list ( food that show pesticides in higher concentration). If you are one of those who don’t mind paying $$$ for a meal eating out each time, but will resist the idea of paying couple of bucks more for organic food on a regular base, think about this 🙏🏼 . . Today’s dinner, after fasting: Dandelion, parsley, quinoa ( made with homemade lamb bone broth, and fresh rosemary), steamed beets, and eggs ( yes for dinner 😇), and hummus. I make hummus myself but when I saw this organic one with hazelnut I just couldn’t resist😇 😋 #yummy . . After weekly grocery shopping, I love to wash, dry and get my veggies and fruits ready for the week. It takes 1~2 hours but totally worth it so all is organized, and I spend less time preparing & cooking during the week. I guess today’s posts are all about beets but I eat them every single day in some form or another so it makes sense 🤷‍♀️ But I wanted to talk about hummus for a minute because if you read the ingredients on the labels of almost all prepackaged varieties you will find unnecessary additives such as canola oil 🤢 gums, thickeners or something you can’t pronounce 👎 These additives are all bad and will disrupt your digestive system to some degree. A new study from Brazil found that while individuals having darker skin tones are better protected against UV light, they also are more prone to be vitamin D deficient. Date night at home tonight with the amazing @swanny244 💏We decided to make his famous “Nacho Mountain”. Nick seasoned & cooked ground turkey while I chopped up the veggies. And of course I made my ⛰ using @sietefoods Almond flour chips, fresh lettuce, cilantro, and tomatoes. When Nick and I go out we often find ourselves getting nachos as an appy so making our favorite at home with real and fresh ingredients was a double win! Happy Saturday babes 💋

Wow it’s been years since I had a ‘Peach Melba’! I have fond memories of my mother making them after a Sunday roast in the summer when I was a child! . It’s Peach season here in Jordan and so I thought I would make a slight variation on her version as we had friends for dinner, but avoiding the dairy. I’m not the best at deserts as I love savoury cooking but this is a winner even for me! . Ripe skinned chopped peaches, toasted almond, hazelnut and pecan pieces, homemade strawberry chia jam, coconut yoghurt icecream (homemade!), and coconut cream (flavoured with a touch of maple syrup and vanilla extract). I have had to check in with this a lot recently with being so busy. I finally have this weekend to decompress and catch up with admin etc. 🌿 • I have a tendency to rush my food and eat quickly when I’m on the go or anxious, this is NOT what you want to do. It burdens the digestive system and reduces absorption of nutrients. It can also cause constipation and just a general disconnection with the fact we are lucky enough to even have nutritious food to eat!🌿 • Whatever you are doing, even if on the go, you can still chew your food properly, let the enzymes in your mouth do their job and start the process off right. Health Coach Stacie’s Better than Ranch Dip/Dressing: •AC Vinegar (raw with the mother) •Balsamic Vineger •Tahini •Dijon Mustard •Himalayan Sea Salt All equal parts initially for each ingredient except the Sea Salt (1 tablespoon of each for example). Here’s some medicine I made for my husband a couple of hours ago... THE *TURBOZESTY SORETHROAT BUSTER*. Ingredients: (serves 2) - 2 organic oranges 🍊 - 1 large org cucumber 🥒 - 1/2 large ripe 🍍 pineapple (get that bromelain iin to stop that cough!) - 5 cloves of garlic - 2 lemons 🍋 - 2 limes - 200 grams of ginger . Juice it all, no peeling. The flavour of this NATURAL MEDICINE is strong 💪, but perfectly flavour balanced and yummy. Drink on an empty stomach and enjoy THE HEALING of your sore throat (and stomach). Hubby had a serving in the morning and another in the evening and his sore throat is now 100% gone.
