She invited me to ask myself this question when i was mentally beating myself up and being extremely hard on myself. For Case, asking herself this question was a helpful tool to trigger out of negative thoughts and emotions. And wow what a powerful question it is…. what WOULD compassion do? Would compassion allow hateful, harmful thoughts about one’s self and body to progress? no.👎 Would compassion contribute to self spiraling and self pity? no.🙅🏻‍♀️Would compassion surpress unconditional love and acceptance? no.❌ . Compassion is kindness (to yourself and others), being connected 🤝, expressing gratitude 🙏🏼 , acting on empathy🌈, cherishing others 😙, wishing to release others from suffering, embracing others (and yourself), and above all infinite amounts of unconditional love 💗. . i invite you to ask yourself this question when the dark clouds start to dim your light and you feel like giving up. what would compassion do?♥️

It doesn’t feel homey.” At that point I had been in this apartment for almost a year, but the thought of investing emotional energy, time and money into vibesing up any space in Toronto felt futile. I think I always resisted settling in Toronto, it always felt impermanent and the amount of times I’d had to move made me feel unsettled. Yet four, going on five years of living in a city is a significant amount of time – time which I spent way too much of resisting being here. Feeling unsettled for five years is significant. • d i n n e r🍴♥️• I’m not a soup person but I do love this one 🍅. 💯% tomatoes, roasted red bell peppers and onions, basil and garlic 😍 • One of my favorite veggies is broccoli and I love to roast it with pepper, smoked paprika and a pinch of salt in a frying pan with no oil 🥦💚 • Then we have black beans, one of my preferred plant-based protein sources. I never buy them canned. I always cook them from scratch at home and a lot of servings so I can stock my freezer with them. This way I avoid cooking too often 😊⏰ • And last but not least, a small portion of tofu. I never include two different sources of protein in one meal, but today my body asked me for both of them and no grains. I love tofu roasted in a frying pan with no oil, sea salt, roasted sesame seeds and pepper 🤤. • What are you having for dinner? 😋🍴

Picked this up from @wholefoods today while stocking up on @brubroth and other goodies. In my efforts to try and incorporate a more natural and plant based beauty and skin routine I’m VERY excited to try some of Amy and Christina’s recipes like the almond milk facial cleanser. 〰 Though switching over can take time and be a little challenging.. this has been something that’s really important to me. Personally, The skin care part is easy but as a makeup artist the cosmetic part is still really hard and TBH 80% of my makeup bag isn’t vegan, plant based, or non toxic 😅 but as far as my skin care and personal care goes I would say that 90% IS. I ate some lovely plants in this tasty dish 🤤 I promised myself I would experiment more in the kitchen, and that’s where this plate came about. I just pulled whatever I had in the fridge. Super easy (because that’s how I roll 😂) and super filling! Here are the ingredients: - brown rice, cooked per box instructions ;) chopped onions and garlic (ya need those prebiotics to feed your probiotics!!) 1 can of chickpeas a couple handfuls of mushrooms 2 eggs mixed in a bunch of spinach and arugula cooked in olive oil salt & pepper to taste!
