#momlife: Never forget who’s watching you 👶🏼♥️ One of my favorite #gympartners and cheerleaders just so happens to be a 16 month old.... ♥️👌🏼💪🏼 mostly because during a rest it the middle of a set, i will look over to find him watching me and he will smile or clap for me. Where's my pregnant OR planning to be pregnant mamas🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️??? This post on Diastasis Recti (abdominal seperation) prevention is for you so TAG a mama & comment below if this information is helpful! . I get this ? quite a bit so i wanted to address it. So here's the thing...somewhere between the 2nd & 3rd trimester of pregnancy, almost all pregnant women will experience some degree of Abdominal Seperation to make room for the baby or babies. This is NATURAL & really there is no way to totally prevent it. As baby grows, organs are shifted, your baby & uterus is growing and the overall intra-abdominal pressure is pushing against your abdominal wall & linea alba thus causing DR to occur . 3 KEYS to REDUCING the degree of DR after having the baby is to #1 give your body a chance to heal & your uterus return to normal size #2 work to strengthen your entire CORE & pelvic floor BEFORE getting pregnant #3 doing basic safe core & pelvic floor strengthening exercises during pregancy along with avoiding movements, posture, & exercises that could make it worse. Examples would be Core breathing, basic TA sets with all your exercises & everyday activities (especially lifting) & Kegels . If you have no idea where to start on those things drop your ?s below& i'll do my best to provide more education & videos in the upcoming weeks so ASK, ASK, ASK :-) I was able to recover from 3 fingers to 1 finger width DR fairly quickly after having my baby because i did these things & inside my upcoming Diastasis Recti Rehabilitation Core Rehabilitation Program so if you're pregnant NOW is the time to get on my mailing list (link in bio). 6 months pregnant ... I’m slower, I take more breaks and I can’t breathe as easily as I used to , my kicks aren’t perfect every time but I don’t quit. I love MMA and for as long as I possibly can I will continue to do it throughout my pregnancy. It’s something you have to try for yourself to truly understand how freaking awesome it is! Today has been a rough day. Seeing all my girlfriends leaving for Mexico has been freaking hard! It was a trip I earned thanks to my coaching biz, the flights were booked, child care covered. But then we found out that we were pregnant with baby girl and just decided not to take the risk since Mexico is a Zika virus hot spot. Plus we are still seeing if the airline will credit our flights even with a doctor’s note- fingers crossed. The one silver lining that I have been focusing on ALL day is that I get to spend more time with my boys and I will have the BEST gift in less then 5 months. Love recreating these before & after images with Abigail 👼🏽 I get so emotional thinking about how long it took for me to conceive and almost giving up. Throughout my pregnancy, I would literally cry & thank God every time I felt her move. Obviously I didn’t share my struggle so people naturally assumed that I didn’t want children. And there was nothing I wanted more than to be a mother.. It was so hard to answer questions like “when are you thinking of growing your family?” Or “why haven’t you had any kids yet?” I want to remind those who are in the same place that I was in that you’re not alone. My biggest regret is not starting sooner. I was the girl who was worried about what people would say.
