Day 17: today I was failing. I tried so hard to get through unpacking #allthethings before today, Gabe’s birthday, making it safe for our visitors. Gabe wanted a #layercake so I baked and filled and this #doomedfromthestart culinary adventure keeps sliding everywhere. I’m covered in #glutenfree flour and strawberry filling. No presents are wrapped. No coffee has been had. No way is this cake gonna stay standing. #totalfail but sweet friends took over my art lit job today so I can get bamboo skewers and craft this banner to hang between them to mask the fact that this cake will not stand. Hubby is coming to help with wrapping and coffee. And Gabe?
